 Abstract   In this paper, a control structure for stable and passive traction drives is developed and analyzed. We show that a passive system for almost the entire desired frequency region is gained through improved current control and feed-forward. The control dynamics, with respect to the line current and the dclink voltage, are similar to that of the original, so-called reference system.
