Abstract |
This paper concerns the estimation of the machine rotor flux position using high frequency injection for the sensorless torque control of induction motor drives at zero and low speed. The paper focuses upon the decoupling of saturation induced saliencies by exploiting a magnetic signature of the machine derived using the method of Space Modulation Profiling (SMP). The aim is to reduce the errors in the flux angle estimation and hence to operate the drive in sensorless torque control. An off the shelf 11kW machine is used in which previously reported methods cannot be used without appropriate decoupling. |
