| Abstract |
The paper is based on the results of a long-term modernization project concerning of electrical transport systems in Estonia. Several investigations on traction drives of locomotives, trolley buses and trams have been realized by the Department of Electrical Drives and Power Electronics of Tallinn Technical University in close co-operation with different transport firms. As a result of this work, a new principal solution of traction drive for trams and a new auxiliary power converter were developed and implemented in city traffic. |
