Abstract |
The paper describes a method of indirect PID controller adaptation by adapting a gain coefficient and a time constant of a lead-lag filter added at the output of the controller. Once calculated, the output of the PID controller is filtered by a lead-lag filter whose gain coefficient and time constant are adapted. Adaptation is carried out by using quantitative relations that link second-order reference model parameters and a corresponding integral criterion. The proposed adaptive PID control scheme has been tested in the angular speed control loop of a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drive. The simulation results confirmed its effectiveness in spite of its distinct simplicity. |
