| Abstract |
The high-frequency industrial application of power semiconductors has been limited due to among other things the cost. The power MOSFET, while solving the cost problem, has a limitation of the input and output capacitances. This paper shows that the power MOSFET can be applied by using the class-E system, despite the high drain – source capacitance. Class-E uses resonant load circuits, which result in soft switching as well as efficiencies of at least 90%. |
