| Abstract |
1000A, 2000V Emitter Commutated Thyristor (ECT - hard drive GTO, controlled by switching low-voltage MOSFET-key in cathode circuit) with the symmetrical blocking characteristic is developed. New ECT has the decreased turn-on and turn-off loss energy, small reverse recovery charge and can be used in current-fed frequency converters operating in frequency band 1000-5000Hz. |
