Abstract |
A new approach to teaching the theory of rotating electrical machines (EM) is presented. The main idea of the approach is based on the following assumptions: individual types of EMs are distinguished only by the control method of the machine fields position in space; in EM the two fundamental couplings can be distinguished — ideal transformer coupling and ideal electromechanical coupling. Using the circuit models (lumped parameter models) of the couplings as „building blocs” the multi-ports models of basic rotating EMs can be easy developed for study the power conversion systems. As an example the induction motor model has been developed for the analysis of drive system with power electronic converter supply. |
