| Abstract |
The paper is based on the results of innovative co-operation between educational institutions in the framework of the Leonardo da Vinci program. The project: International Curricula of Mechatronics and Training Materials for Initial Vocational Training was realised by German, Finnish and Estonian educational establishments and representatives of entrepreneurs. The Contractor of the project was Tallinn Technical University. As a result of this project, proposals were made for the new international curriculum of mechatronics and a set of training materials for initial vocational training was developed. This paper attempts to find answers to the following questions: What is mechatronics? Which reforms are needed in education? What must be the issue of the new curriculum? What kind of equipment is needed for the study process? |
