| Abstract |
A grinding machine has been developed for monitoring and control of the grinding process. Servo controllers are applied for control of the feedrate. Piezo electric force sensors and spindle wheel power measurement systems have also been installed allowing the measurement of tangential and normal grinding forces. Several experimental results are given showing the relationship between normal and tangential grinding forces, metal removal rates and spindle motor power. |
