Abstract |
This paper deals with the advanced computation of the magnetic field in induction motors. Unlike in a conventional way, the magnetic hysteresis of the iron core material is included in the computational algorithm, which consists of the vector Preisach hysteresis model integrated in a two-dimensional time-stepping finite element analysis. The nonlinear hysteretic system of algebraic equations is solved through the Fixed-Point iterative technique. The results of the magnetic field modeling and core loss computation for two induction motors are reported. |
