Abstract |
The numerous auxiliary resonant circuits introduced in the published works for soft commutation of
phase currents in conventional three phase converters are categorized into DC-Side and AC-Side types
and compared with each other. The AC-Side types are well investigated, analysed and compared
regarding their switching losses in this paper. The results of an analytical comparion show that the
Auxiliary Resonant Commutated Pole Converter is the best candidate for high power high frequency
applications. |
