Abstract |
Possibilities of use of genetic algorithm for optimization of a 3-phase squirrel-cage induction motor electromagnetic circuit are presented in the paper. The optimization problem with constraints is formulated when assuming the external penalty function. For the developed computer program using GA it is possible to select 8 design parameters and the multiobjective function. For the analyzed motor the region of feasible solutions (for two design variables) and chosen plots of the objective function are shown. The results of optimization calculations for the different quality criteria are presented. Process of optimization in the successive generations is shown as well. Basing on the results of many calculations for the same objective function the algorithm convergence satisfactory from the practical point of view stated. |
