Disturbance Caused by Long Leads between PWM Frequency Converter and AC Induction Motor

| Abstract |
This paper deals with effects arising at PWM inverter output, across cable between PWM inverter and induction motor and at induction motor terminals that influence conducted and radiated interference emissions of an adjustable-speed drive at the same time. The contribution also describes transmission paths of electromagnetic disturbance, explains a cause of its origin and in the end suggests mitigation techniques, design, properties and consequences of use of suppression filters for electromagnetic disturbance and transients influencing electromagnetic disturbance in direct way. Experimental and simulation results are presented. |
