Abstract   The paper presents a discussion of some aspects of the current control of the complex AC - DC - AC converter. Particularly a problem of the DC link voltage level and its regulation is approached. The discussion is based on simulation and experimental results which have been obtained during research works and laboratory tests concerning to control algorithms. Both inverters of the AC-DC-AC structure are current-controlled VSIs. The control algorithm realizes the idea of histeresis control with prediction: the control vector is selected as the most effective one among all admissible vectors. The criteria of the selection are included. The experiments have been realized with help of the floating-point DSP technique. A floating point controller board with a Texas Instruments TMS320C31 digital signal processor has been used.
