Abstract |
The flowing of induced currents in power transformer, especially in their magnetic core, implies an
increase in the order of the equivalent circuits used to model their frequency response. But physical
meanings of the circuit parameters are often lost.
In this paper, a new dynamic model of eddy-currents developing in the magnetic core of a power
transformer is presented. This model is based on the resolution of the diffusion equation in the case of
a ferromagnetic conductive material, using the half-order derivative systems.
The new frequency model of transformer is available on a wide range of frequencies and is described
by few parameters. The model has been applied and validated on a 4 kVA power transformer. |
