Abstract |
An approach of power-factor-correction (PFC) with a high-frequency resonant energy tank for the dc-link inverter is proposed. As compared with the conventional PFC techniques, this approach is advantageous of lower switching losses, lower current stress, and higher control flexibility. The proposed PFC circuit is implemented on a series resonant inverter as an illustrative example. The experimental results are provided to validate the theoretical analyses. It is proven that the PFC circuit can achieve nearly unity power factor and very low harmonic distortion. |
