Abstract |
Recent progress in research and development makes it possible to run fully digital and accurate real time simulations of electromagnetic transients phenomena in high voltage power electronic systems such as high voltage direct current (HVDC) or flexible alternating current transmission systems (FACTS). Fields of interest for the use of these simulators include real time testing of external devices such as control and protection systems. the required computational speed can only be achieved through the application of highly efficient modelling and simulation techniques. In this contect, the development of efficient harmonic filter models of HVDC substations is discussed. |
