| Abstract |
An 836:1 toroidal transformer with a single turn secondary is used to provide a 4000 A 50 Hz ac source for calibrating current transducers. A MOSFET in a diode bridge in series with the ac mains supply is used to compensate for ac supply fluctuations. The paper describes the overall system and the two-loop control strategy used to maintain the current value within +/- 0.1%. |
