Determination of Thrust Force Ripple of a Spherical Linear PM Motor for a Direct Telescope Drive

Abstract |
A three axes torque motor consisting of several spherical shaped linear motor units for adjusting an airborne telescope is presented. An analytical calculation method for the produced thrust force of one motor unit using a tow layer chorded air gap winding is described. Calculation results are varified by test results of an existing test bench, providing the low thrust force ripple of 3% of related thrust force. |
