Simulation of Load Disturbances on Saturated Cage Induction Motor Drive fed from 3/6 Pulse Cycloconverter

| Abstract |
Transient behavior at sudden change in load of 3/6-pulse cycloconverter fed cage induction drive is investigated considering main flux path and cross saturation effect in the motor. The mathematical model of the drive is developed. The cycloconverter is considered to be operated in non-circulating current mode. The improvement obtained due to consideration of saturation is demonstrated. Harmonic analysis of motor current is also made at full load condition. The results are discussed in details. |
