   Simulation of an Induction Motor Drive under Inverter Leg Short-Circuit Operations   [View]

 Abstract   This paper presents the study of leg short-circuits of a voltage source PWM inverter used for an induction motor drive. Firstly, the characteristics of the investigated drive are described. Secondly, the modelling of the drive under short-circuit operations is presented. A solution based on model switching is proposed to reduce the computation time. Finally, simulated and experimental waveforms are compared in order to validate the proposed modelling approach.
