Abstract |
This paper presents the modelling and experimental studies , underlying the analysis of the electrical shifted angle influence over variable speed two-phase induction motor drive. The two-phase induction machine (TPIM) is widely used in many light-duty applications were three-phase supply is not readily available. During the development of such a machine, there are several options, including the spatial placement of the auxialiary winding. The torque-slip characteristics can be manipulated by shifting the auxiliary winding from the quadrature position. For the analyzed model, the machine stator windings are realized for three different values of the electrical shifted angle. A median point pulse with modulation (PWM) inverter with full logic control is used as a variable frequency supply. A new strategy for the controller ratio of the PWM inverter is proposed. The analysis is made for steady-state and transient state operation. |
