| Abstract |
A new field supply concept for adjustable DC drives is presented. It consists of an IGBT based buck converter that is supplied by a six-pulse diode bridge which is connected in parallel to the armature converter of the drive. The field winding is connected via an active damped LC-filter. the new concept reduces the complexity of the DC drive system and helps to overcome some of its drawbacks. |
