 Abstract   In this paper we present a sliding mode controller design for DC-DC switching regulators using Ackermann's formula. This procedure allows adequate system eigenvalues placement to obtain a desired dynamic behavior. this method is applied to control buck, boost and buck-boost converters. The simulation and experimental results show good dynamic behavior during the start-up transient response, and against load and line perturbations.
