Abstract |
To reduce harmonic currents flowing in electric power systems, a voltage-type PWM recitifier having the function of an active power filter is developed. Two methods for detection of harmonic currents in the power systems are presented. Based on this, a method for generation of modulating signals for the rectifier is presented, which are composed of a line-frequency sinusoidal signal and a signal for harmonic compensation. Experimental investigation of a single-phase PWM rectifier in which the developed method is employed is carried out to confirm its rectifying operation and operation as an active power filter. |
