A Generalised Method to Obtain Large and Small-signal Equivalent Circuits of Resonant Inverters and Converters

Abstract |
This article presents a generalised
method to obtain large-signal equivalent circuits
of resonant inverters or converters, independently
of their order. These circuits can be implemented
and simulated to reveal the static and dynamic
characteristics of the resonant circuit. DCtransfer
ratios, large-signal transients or smallsignal
frequency responses against variations of
the switching frequency or duty-cycle can be
obtained. Closed-loop simulations can be used
for control circuit validation and improvement.
Moreover, introduction of perturbations into the
large-signal circuits leads to the corresponding
small-signal circuits. |
