| Abstract |
Single phase AC/AC converters need bi-directional forced commutation switches. This paper deals with a new concept for the design of a 'self-turn-on' switch and a low on-state voltage bi-controllable switch. Thus, the control is simplified and the power elements can be integrated in Power Integration Technology such as ASD (TM) products. Experimental result validate this new principle. Harmonics improvement can be realized because of the bi-controllable switch. |
