Abstract |
This paper proposes a novel power supplysystem for an encoder in motor drive systems. The proposed system eliminates the need for adedicated power supply cable for the encoder byutilizing a current transformer connected to theload motor. A design method for the currenttransformer is presented, considering itsoperation under non-linear loads and variablefrequencies. The design process is simplified bymodeling the diode rectifier as an equivalentvoltage source. The validity of the proposeddesign is verified through experiments, demonstrating that the output voltage closelymatches the design values. Additionally, a DCDCconverter is implemented at the output side ofthe diode rectifier to stabilize the output voltage.Experimental results confirm voltagestabilization across the entire operating range onthe N-T map. |
