 Abstract   Recent active flux linkage model-based observers for sensorless control consider differential inductances in observer design, which improves the estimation performance. However, due to these additional observer parameters, new sensitivities are introduced. To study these effects, a sensitivity analysis is performed and a general function is proposed to calculate the theoretical angular error for any operating point and parameter mismatch. The impact of any parameter mismatch can be analysed by evaluating the derivative of this function.
