Abstract |
This paper introduces a generic and scalable concept for load emulations with two B6 bridges in aback-to-back configuration. This configuration is intended for application related stress testing to qualify automotive power Integrated Circuits (ICs). The herein presented work focuses on the modelling and simulation of a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM), its driver stage, and the method of extracting the necessary control parameter. Besides that the applicability of the concept was investigated through simulations and validated with a dedicated Hardware (HW) demonstrator setup. Simulation results as well as measurements are analyzed and compared. The results demonstrate that the modelled behavior matches very well the observed behavior in the hardware demonstrator with a good dynamic performance. |
