Abstract   As the penetration of electric vehicles (EVs) keeps increasing, the vehicle-grid integration problem is becoming even more challenging. This paper proposes a coordinated dispatching strategy for EVs by introducing charging pricing incentives to improve the overall benefits of all the EVs and the isolated photovoltaic charging stations (PVCSs) operating in the islanded mode. Simulation results show that the total cost of all the EVs as a whole is reduced. Moreover, the safety and efficiency of all the PVCSs are boosted in that the charging or discharging power of the PVCS batteries are always within the range such that the PVCSs are neither overloaded nor underloaded.
