 Abstract   This paper analyses the stability margin of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM)control system that uses a complex PI controller, specifically under high current conditions. Underhigh current conditions, the inductance of the motor sharply decreases. And if the bandwidth ofthe current controller is set high enough, stability issues arise. This paper examines the reasons forchanges in system stability and proposes a parameter design method to enhance stability.
