Abstract |
The open-end winding drive with isolated supply is equipped with redundant control degrees of freedom to improve the operation reliability. For the switch short-circuit fault with higher probability of occurrence and greater harm, this paper proposes a new perspective, in which the fault is treated as an extra voltage constraint. The constrain is substituted into the vector control design, ensuring the normal operation of motor with smooth torque after the fault. Then the new outputs of healthy bridges are solved. Therefore, the unexpected faults can be fault-tolerant through active adjustment of control, rather than passively removing the faulty parts. The proposed method has been verified in a induction motor. |
