Analysis and Discussion of a Concept for an Adjustable Inductance Based on an Impact of an Orthogonal Magnetic Field

Abstract |
In this paper the realisation of a concept for an adjustable inductance by the use of an auxiliary controlcurrent is analysed and discussed. Using a construction of two magnetic toroid cores the magnetic fieldof a load core, and by this its effective inductance, is influenced by an orthogonal magnetic field inducedby an additional control core. It will be shown that with an increase of the magnetic field generated bythe control circuit the inductance of the load circuit decreases. |
