Abstract |
Single-phase line-start synchronous motors are an attractive alternative to universal and induction
motors for cost-sensitive applications, such as domestic appliances. The application range is limited
by the starting transient, so the paper presents a method for detailed analysis of this transient, together
with a simplified semi-analytic approach, which is validated by comparison with experimental results. |
