| Abstract |
The width of fully digital generated Pulse Width Modulator (PWM) signals can be varied in discrete time steps only. In closed loop systems this limited resolution leads to limit cycles. With the multiple combination of PWM and a special pulse frequency modulation of the output values of high precision power supplies (PS) are controlled down to zero with a very high resolution. |
