| Abstract |
We present an electric traction chain with segmented power supply for automotive applications. The concept is to split the windings of the electrical machine into sub-windings. Each sub-winding is then fed by an independent low-voltage power electronics converter. We describe here the concept in details and discuss its advantages and its drawbacks. |
