Abstract |
In this paper a novel design algorithm for an interleaved 'zero voltage transition-pulse widthmodulation' (ZVT-PWM) converter is presented. It provides a guidance for the dimensioningof auxiliary circuit components, minimizing the switching losses in the converter and allowing ahigh switching frequency operation. First, a detailed analytical description of the ZVT-PWMconverter is provided with consideration of the current ripple in the main inductance. Thedesign algorithm is explained in detail and its effectiveness is evaluated through comprehensiveloss simulation over a wide variety of operating points. |
