   A New Three-Phase Diode Rectifier with Improved Characteristics.   [View]

 Abstract   A new topology of the capacitor-input-type three-phase diode rectifier which satisfies the harmonicregulation of 'IEC 61000-3-2, Class A' under the condition with output power of 11 [kW] has beenproposed. The performance and characteristics of the new rectifier, the single three-phase-bridgerectifier and the double three-phase-bridge rectifier, all capacitor-input-type, are compared usingsimulation. Additionally, setups of the new and the single three-phase-bridge capacitor-input-typethree-phase rectifier are built and tested. Comparing the performance and characteristics obtained from the simulation and experiments, it has been shown that the new KOBE rectifier is advantageous than the single and double three-phase-bridge capacitor-input-type three-phase rectifier.
