Abstract |
This paper deals with possible high frequency interactions between cascaded buck converters due to
lack of switching pattern filtering. Based on time domain simulations and analytical approach, it is
shown that if a HF disturbance signal is applied to the converter input voltage, the switching pattern
operation may generate a modulation scheme that in turn leads to oscillations of the output voltage
and the converter operating point. Analysis is provided in order to limit the impact of these
interactions and to take advantage of the conclusions in applications such as distributed power
systems. Experimental results validate simulation and analytical results. |
