| Abstract | A new AC and DC static circuit-breaker using a Power MOS Transistor bas been developped by ECL and EDF, called "Disjimos". The interest of this device are its full autonomy, adjustability and reliability. Tested by short-circuits on the load, the opening time is less than 1 us. The actual characteristics are in order to 400 V - 20 A, and the cost is really competitive for this small device, which assumes more functions than an electromechanical circuit-breaker does. | |||||
