Abstract |
The recent evolution of advanced types of hiqh power transistors gives new impetus to the field of induction cookinq. This paper presents a concept of a laboratory prototype and includes measurement results on the inductor with a variety of cookinq vessels. The inverter load is an oscillatinq network with a relatively hiqh Q factor. The appliance is connected to a three phase 380 Volt supply. Control over the larqe ranqe of delivered power (100 % to 10 %) is achieved by varyinq the switchinq frequency. The various necessary protection circuits are detailed at the end of this report. |
