| Abstract |
This paper outlines the approach to the design of an energy recovery hybrid vehicle and the early project phases. The goals are energy recovery as well as reduction of air pollution. The means is the optimized control of the whole system (internal combustion engine + electrical machine + batteries + gearbox) in order to obtain energy recovery during both decelerations and downhill runs. |
