| Abstract |
The work presents a design approach for SCR chopper protection networks based on circuit simulation techniques. The approach yields a design which takes into account mutual interactions between protection networks on different devices and effects due to saturable reactors and reverse-recovery charge mismatches in device arrays. The approach has found a satisfactory application on an industrial chopper. |
