| Abstract |
A well-known advantage of the GTO thyristors is weight and volume reduction of the equipements. But the GTO thyristors have also all the characteristics which are required to be ultra fast switching thyristors, thanks especially to the gate assisting possibility. In the paper, the performances of GTO thyristors used as conventional thyristors and new perspectives of applications are presented. |
