Abstract |
A unified approach is presented to the analysis of the dynamic characteristics of three current inverter induction motor (CSIM) drives incorporating the following control strategies: slip, synchronous, and field-oriented. After establishing a generalized model of the CSIM operation, for each drive the control system is identified, the transfer functions are calculated, and merits and limits are illustrated. An overall diagram is also given, which highlights the different control actions accomplished by the three strategies. |
