Abstract |
A digital simulation procedure for the analysis of a voltage source inverter feeding a three phase induction motor is presented. The inverter feeding the motor is the well known McMurray inverter. The model of the motor used in the simulation is based on the machine equations in the phase coordinates. The effect of changes in system parameters is studied. Critical performance criteria like peak value of armature current and peak voltage across the inverter thyristors are obtained. These are very much helpful in the design of inverter and associated circuits. The performance of the inverter motor combination at representative frequencies of 50, 25 and 5 Hz is studied and the results presented. |
