| Abstract | To obtain a compact, effective driving-package, a new speed reducer has been developed. It includes a performant Rare-earth brushless DC motor, and a resolver as a single speed and absolute position sensor. The rated power of the joint is about 50 W. It is supplied with a current fed PWM inverter, and controlled by a microprocessor. It has been successfully experimented, showing its zero backlasch and good efficiency. | |||||
