| Abstract |
This paper describes a method suitable for estimation and definition of flicker reduction performance of static Var compensators with arc furnace plants. For this purpose a transistor inverter impressing rapidly varying currents into a 380 V-model-line is used as a realistic arc furnace model. Results obtained from arc furnace plants with and without compensation are discussed. |
