Abstract |
In the power electronics field, research on equipment size and weight reduction and improvements in switching conditions have involved lhe development of resonant converters. The properties of such convertors are widely recognized today. However, their control remains critical taking into account the complexity of lheir dynamic behaviour. The authors are proposing in this paper a new control law for the series resonant converter. This control method allows large range transients while keeping the converter in the right working conditions. The transient responses are "abrupt" and without any overshoot and last a minimum time (around one operation period of the converter). Consequently, driven by this control-law, the series resonant converter presents dynamic performances which can be compared to those of a pulse width modulated converter. |
